Hi, I’m John
Registered NZ Dietitian

I’m John, a registered dietitian based in Auckland, offering both in-person and online consultations, with over 20 years’ experience working in hospital and community settings. Throughout my career, I’ve supported people through a wide range of health concerns, providing care tailored to each person's lifestyle and goals.
I help people make sense of nutrition in a way that feels simple, realistic, and sustainable. I believe nutrition advice should be clear, evidence-based, and practical — not rigid rules or quick fixes. My approach focuses on understanding the whole person, not just symptoms, and providing guidance that fits real life.
I work with clients through online, telephone, and in-person consultations, making support accessible and flexible. I place a strong emphasis on listening, education, and helping people feel confident about their food and health choices.
Registered with the New Zealand Dietitians Board and committed to evidence-based professional practice.

My approach
I focus on providing nutrition support that is practical, realistic, and tailored to each person.
Rather than strict rules or quick fixes, I aim to help people make changes that feel manageable and sustainable in everyday life.
Why I Became a Dietitian
Nutrition has always interested me because of the difference it can make to everyday life.
Throughout my career, I’ve seen how confusing nutrition information can be. Many people feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice and unsure who to trust.
I became a dietitian because I wanted to help people cut through that confusion and feel more confident making changes that support their health and wellbeing.
My aim is to provide guidance that is practical, trustworthy, and easy to apply in everyday life.

Beyond the Clinic
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, cooking family meals, and keeping active.
These experiences continue to shape how I approach nutrition. I believe food should be enjoyable, flexible, and fit naturally into everyday life.
Health should support your life — not take it over.
